I was told an occlusal plate would diminish or even eliminate muscular tensions that had been causing pain for so many years, and that I would have better quality of sleep. I was in tears at the beginning but now I have a big smile.

After 11 years of sufferings, migraines, facial muscular pains, even with few occusal plates and painkillers every 4 hours, the pain was always present. I was then referred to neuromuscular dentistry, but when it was time to do the crowns, my panic disorder amplified to the point we had to stop the treatment. I started looking for a dentist who would do this under anaesthesia. I found out that Dr. Poirier used intravenous sedation and, a year later, my jaw is back in place and thanks to sedation, I now have nice teeth. Due to my acute panic disorder, I would not have completed the treatment without sedation.
